8 Tips For A Clean Home After The Wedding

You did it! You’re married! Now it’s time to start your life together in your very first home. But before you can start making memories, you have to make sure your home is clean and ready for you to move in. Here are 8 tips for getting your new home clean and keeping it that way.

1. Schedule some “me” time:

Let’s face it, wedding planning is exhausting. So is moving. Once you’re settled into your new home, take some time for yourself to relax and recharge. Maybe take a long bath or curl up with a good book. You deserve it!

2. Get organized:

Moving is the perfect time to get rid of anything you don’t need or use anymore. So go through your things and decide what you want to keep, what you want to donate, and what you want to throw away. This will make unpacking and cleaning much easier and less overwhelming.

3. Don’t procrastinate:

It’s tempting to put off cleaning until later, but the longer you wait, the harder it will be. So bite the bullet and just do it! Make a list of all the things that need to be cleaned and tackle one thing at a time. Before you know it, your whole house will be sparkling clean.

4. Start with the kitchen:

The kitchen is one of the most important rooms in the house, so it’s a good place to start when you’re cleaning. Wipe down all the surfaces, clean out the fridge, and wash the dishes. Then move on to the rest of the house.

5. Don’t forget about the bathroom:

The bathroom is another important room that needs to be cleaned regularly. Scrub the toilet, sink, and shower/tub. Then mop the floor and put out fresh towels. Your bathroom will look and smell amazing!

6. Dust everything:

Dust collects everywhere, so make sure to dust all surfaces, including furniture, shelves, knick-knacks, picture frames, etc. Don’t forget to dust hard-to-reach places like ceiling fans and light fixtures too!

7. Vacuum all floors:

Vacuuming is a must if you want clean floors! Vacuum carpets, rugs, and bare floors alike. If you have any pets, make sure to vacuum pet hair too! No one likes stepping on a stray piece of fur in the middle of the night…

8. Clean windows and mirrors:

Windows and mirrors add brightness and light to any room, so it’s important to keep them clean! Use Windex or another glass cleaner on windows and mirrors throughout your house. This will help them stay streak-free and looking their best!
