Oven Cleaning - Dinner Party Woes Part 10

Oven Cleaning

Oven order (part 1)

After one of Gleem's staff mentioned their horror when she took out anoven rack to find her hands coated in grease,we realised the oven is another appliance which can take a hammering when cooking ambitious meals for numerous guests.

However, though baked on grease might look a fearsome combatant, we swear by these simple steps to restore sparklingsurfaces. The bath proves the perfect site to distil the racks and wecan thoroughly recommend the following steps to make your way towards the Insta-worthy image above:

1. Place the dirty articles on an old towel in the bath so it doesn't mark the sides, and fill the bath up so they are covered.

2. Take a cup of detergent and empty with the running tap to ensure maximum dissolving.

3. Allow to sit for 1 hour, then add a cup of lemon juice to eradicate any residual odours.

4. Leave for another hour and then empty the bath. Use a toothbrush to remove the final resistant pieces of grease and you'll be left with a sparkling oven rack!
